Alessio Named BIG EAST Female Athlete of the Week

NEW YORK – Silvia Alessio (Trieste, Italy) has been named BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Female Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Alessio broke the Seton Hall program record in the 3-meter six-dive on Saturday afternoon at the Bucknell Fall Invite. The graduate student posted a score of 337.20 to take first place in the event, breaking the school record previously set by Taylor Jackson back in 2018. Alessio would also claim victory in the 1-meter on the day, sweeping the diving events for the second straight meet to begin the season.
Alessio and the Pirates will host their first home meet of the season this Saturday against Monmouth at 12 p.m.
