Boote wrapped up his final season in South Orange with a career-high six goals and 17 points, both totals leading the team. The graduate student ranked seventh in the conference in points and goals, while his four goals in BIG EAST play tied for sixth in the league.
Boote entered the 2023 season having found the back of the net just once through 65 career matches. In his final season, he found his goal-scoring footing. Boote scored goals in each of the first two matches of the season, including the lone tally in the 1-0 season-opening victory over Rider.

Boote's final stretch of the season was stellar, scoring two goals and recording points in each of the final three matches of the season. What would be his sixth and final goal of the season was a special one, a one-touch game-winning strike in the 70th minute on Senior Day which helped the Pirates clinch a postseason berth.
