Rutgers Stuns Women's Soccer, 2-1, in Overtime

It was the final conference divisional match of the year for both teams. The loss is Seton Hall's fifth in a row, and drops the Pirates to 6-9 and 3-3 in the BIG EAST. Rutgers improves to 7-6-2 and 3-2-1 in the conference. Both teams have clinched berths in the conference championship.
Radu took a shot from 30 yards out on the left side which went over the head of Pirate goalkeeper at 104:06 to cap Rutgers' rally.
Holding a 1-0 lead late in the match, Seton Hall appeared to have the victory in hand until Rutgers was awarded a corner kick with 59 seconds to play. Tiphanie Forst sent the kick into the box where after a scramble, and deflections off Pirate defenders, it was headed in by Rutgers' Lissette Brandao with 45 seconds remaining to send the match into overtime.
Seton Hall senior Leslie Smith (Shoreview, MN) scored her first career goal to put the Pirates on the board at 73:11. Jocelyn Dumaresq sent a free kick into the box where Frauke Dittel headed it forward, and Smith then scored on a scramble in front of the net.
Rutgers outshot the Pirates, 26-10. Seton Hall's Miller made 12 saves on the evening with Rutgers' Christine Caldwell making three.
