Golf Finishes Seventh at George Washington Invite

BETHANY BEACH, Del. The Seton Hall golf team placed seventh at the George Washington Invitational this weekend after shooting a team score of 765 (311, 304, 150). Sophomore David Sampson (Warren, R.I.) was the Pirates’ top finisher, tying for 11^th with a +9 (189).

Junior John Zur (Glenview, Ill) finished a stroke behind Sampson with a +10 (190), and tied for 18^th place.

Senior Kyle Morris (Powell, Ohio), who was the two-time defending champion at the tournament, tied for 45^th along with freshman Colin Van Es (Granger, Ind.) after shooting +15 (195), respectively.

Sophomore J.C. Cardamone (Dunmore, Pa.) rounded out SHU’s top five with a  +21 (201) to tie for 69^th.

The Pirates return to action with a dual match at Stetson on Wednesday, March 26.
