
Women's Soccer Adds Aviv Volnerman As Volunteer Assistant

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall women's soccer head coach Kazbek Tambi has announced the hiring of Aviv Volnerman to his staff in the position of volunteer assistant coach. Volnerman will join the fourth-year head coach along with assistants Esmeralda Negron and Peter Gaglioti for the 2010 season.
Volnerman brings eight years of professional soccer experience including four seasons with Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the Premier League. During those four years, the Israeli citizen helped lead his team to two Israeli National Cups as well as a National Premier League Championship.
In addition to his professional experience, the Paramus, N.J. resident played for the Israeli Under-17 and Under-20 National Teams from 1997-2001.
"We are very excited to add a coach like Aviv to our staff," said Tambi. "He was a player that competed at the highest level of men's professional soccer and with that comes a level of knowledge and insight that will be invaluable to our team."
The Pirates kick-off the program's 17th season on Saturday, August 22 when they travel to Fordham.
