MGolf in Fourth After Round 1 at Princeton Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. -- JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) and Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) each shot 2-over-par to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team to a fourth place team standing following round one of the 2015 Princeton Invitational.

Collectively, Seton Hall shot a 17-over-par, 297, in round one and trails the team leader, Yale, by six strokes entering Sunday's final round. Among those in the field of 13 teams, two BIG EAST teams are also competing. The Pirates have a one-stroke lead on Georgetown and a four-stroke lead on St. John's.

Harper and O'Brien are currently tied for 10th place among 72 individual golfers at 2-over-par with a 72.

Sophomore Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) is just two strokes behind his teammates with a 4-over-par, 74. He is tied for 18th place overall.

Junior Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) fired a 9-over-par, 79, in round one and is tied for 50th.

Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) rounded out the team scoring with a 13-over-par, 83, on Saturday.

The field will play 18 holes on Saturday at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa. and a final 18 holes on Sunday on Merion Golf Club's East Course in Ardmore, Pa. Aronimink hosted the 1962 PGA Championship and was a PGA Tour stop for the AT&T National in 2010 and 2011. The Merion portion of the tournament will be held on the East Course, which has hosted five U.S. Opens, the last one just two years ago.

Joining Seton Hall and host Princeton is a field of 11 other teams including: Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Penn, Rider, Rutgers, St. John's, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Yale.
