Pirates Break Three Pool Records in Win at Montclair State

Montclair, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team set three pool records and coasted to a 141-96 victory in a non-conference meet at Montclair State on Friday night.

The Pirates (2-0) set the tone early with a dominating effort in the 200 medley relay, where sophomore Julie Stankiewicz (Metuchen, N.J.), junior Jordan Decker (Mason, Ohio), sophomore Amelia Wootton (Bethel, Conn.) and senior Courtney McCardle (Hurley, N.Y.) swam a pool-record 1:49.88.

Freshman Heidi Dickson (Greenwich, N.J.) won the 100 fly, 200 IM, and was part of the pool-record 400 free relay swim of 3:39.12.

Junior Sara Ouellette (Granby, Conn.) posted a 1:56.62 in the 200 free to set a pool record.

Looking ahead, the Pirates will compete against West Virginia and BIG EAST foes Butler and Xavier Oct. 19-20 at the West Virginia Tri-Meet in Morgantown, W. Va.
