Anna Holland Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The libero led the Pirates with 4.33 digs per set and lifted them to a pair of BIG EAST victories.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Anna Holland (Waukesha, Wis.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Holland had another fine weekend defensively in a pair of Seton Hall victories. The libero led The Hall with 4.33 digs per set last weekend against BIG EAST opponents Providence and Connecticut. On Friday against the Friars, Holland collected a match-high 12 digs to go with three assists. On Saturday against the Huskies, she had a team-best 14 digs to go with three service aces and two assists.

Xavier's Emma Grace was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while the Musketeers' Stevie Wolf earned Defensive Player of the Week. St. John's Rashanny Solano Smith was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Those joining Holland on the Weekly Honor Roll include Jill Pressly of DePaul, Ludovica Zola of St. John's and both Hattie Bray and Aubrey Hamilton of Marquette.

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 27 when it travels to Queens, N.Y. to take on St. John's. Match time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
