
Subasili Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Subasili led the BIG EAST in both blocks and aces per set last week.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Asli Subasili (Tekirdag, Turkey) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Subasili was a force on the defensive front line last weekend in a pair of Seton Hall victories. The middle blocker led the BIG EAST with 1.71 blocks per set. On Friday at Connecticut, Subasili had five blocks, four aces and two kills in a Seton Hall sweep of the Huskies. Against Providence on Saturday, she erupted for seven blocks to go with three more aces. In addition to her strong defensive prowess last week, Subasili also led the BIG EAST with 1.00 aces per set.

Creighton swept the major weekly awards this week with Kiana Schmitt taking Offensive Player of the Week, Kendra Wait earning Defensive Player of the Week and Sydney Breissinger getting Freshman of the Week. Those joining Subasili on the Weekly Honor Roll include Providence's Shaliyah Rhoden, Xavier's Delaney Hogan and both Ludovica Zola and Erin Jones of St. John's.

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 8 when it returns to Walsh Gymnasium to host St. John's. Match time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
