Anthony Cuccolo broke into the Seton Hall program with a bang, scoring 620 points for the freshman team in 1962–63. He concluded his three-year varsity career with 921 points (12.6 points per game) and, at the time of his induction, held the position of 26th on the all-time scoring list. He averaged a career-high 16.2 points per game as a junior, followed by averaging 15.1 points per game as a senior. He established the Pirates’ freshman team scoring mark with 45 points against Wagner on December 22, 1962, and was known as both an outstanding jump-shooter and a tenacious defender.
