One of the first greats of the BIG EAST era, Daniel Callandrillo developed into one of the most explosive players in Seton Hall history. At the time of his induction, the three-time All-BIG EAST and two-time All-Metropolitan selection ranked as the third-highest scorer in school history with 1,985 points. As a sophomore, he led the BIG EAST in scoring, and in his senior year, he was the nation’s third leading scorer, averaging 25.8 points per game. In 1982, he was named BIG EAST Player of the Year, New Jersey Player of the Year, UNICO National Athlete of the Year, third-team All-America and the recipient of the Haggerty Award as the metropolitan area’s leading player.
