Dean V. Cetrulo

Dean Cetrulo began his fencing career at the age of five and went on to become one of the greatest of America’s fencers. In 1948, Cetrulo, a member of the U.S. Fencing team in the Olympics, was awarded the bronze medal for two third-place finishes in foil and saber. While at Seton Hall, he was All-Eastern Intercollegiate Champion in foil and sabre, New Jersey Intercollegiate Foil and Sabre Champion, National Intercollegiate Champion Foil and Sabre, U.S. Foil Champion, and U.S.A.A.U. Open Champion. Over a three-year period, he won 96 straight bouts.
