James Lampariello

James Lampariello first worked as a student assistant in Seton Hall’s sports information office and then as a Director of Sports Promotion from 1978–82, spearheading public relations efforts. A “behind the scenes player” as Seton Hall helped found the BIG EAST Conference in 1979, he also served as Assistant SID at Rutgers, news writer at WOR Radio and sports reporter at the Morristown Daily Record. He was named Director of Public Relations for the New Jersey Nets in 1982 before moving up to the position of Senior Vice President for Operations and Assistant to the President. In 1989, he was the recipient of a BIG EAST Decade of Excellence Award.
