Jerry Alexander '74 was one of the most explosive football players to ever don the pads for the Pirates. Starring as a split end, Alexander racked up a club-team record 912 receiving yards in three seasons. He helped lead the Pirates to an 8-1 record and the 1972 Eastern Club Bowl/Empire Bowl Football National Championship with 38 receptions, 668 yards and six touchdowns and was named to the Club Football All-America team. He and his teammates helped elevate Seton Hall back to varsity status in 1973, and he went on to serve as a wide receivers coach for the Pirates from 1975-76.
