John Morris

Induction:
1989

John Morris he led the Pirates to an NCAA Tournament bid in 1982 and assisted the team in capturing the ECAC New York-New Jersey Championship. He earned ECAC Player of the Year, New Jersey Player of the Year, first-team All-America and Academic All-America honors following his junior year. At the time of his induction, he held the University’s career batting average mark at .411 and set 11 other records. The 10^th overall pick by the Kansas City Royals in the 1982 MLB Amateur Draft, Morris went on to play seven seasons of Major League Baseball, mostly with the St. Louis Cardinals.
