Joseph E. Polinsky

Joseph Polinsky was the leading goal scorer and captain of the Seton Hall freshman team in 1949 and went on to become the leading scorer on the varsity team three straight years from 1950–52 and the team captain his senior year. His outstanding playing ability landed him a spot in the U.S. Olympic team in 1952. He went on to play 17 years of professional soccer with the Newark German team, winning the Lewis Cup in 1954, and even playing soccer for the Itazuki Air Force soccer team in the Far East during his military career.
