Patrick O’Kelly was a four-year starter for the Seton Hall men’s soccer from 1986–89 and was named All-Mid Atlantic all four years. He received the NCAA “Top Six Award” for overall athletic and academic achievement. In 1988, he was named a first-team All-American, New Jersey Soccer Association Player of the Year and a finalist for the Hermann Award. He was named three-time Adidas Scholar Athlete All-American, GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-American, BIG EAST Scholar Athlete of the Year, and three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star
