Rev. Msgr. Joseph Tuite

Monsignor Joseph Tuite’s history with Seton Hall dates back to 1929, when he entered Seton Hall Prep. He later attended Seton Hall University, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. Ordained in 1941, he served as an assistant to the athletic director and was director of the basketball office. He eventually became an instructor at Seton Hall Prep and was instrumental in starting its freshman baseball program. He held various posts at Seton Hall, including professor of education from 1954–72 and University budget director until 1980.
