Hall of Fame

Robert Davies
- Induction:
- 1973
Bob Davies’ brilliant play was largely responsible for the Pirates’ incredible 43-game winning streak. His accomplishments include being a two-time All-American selection, team leader in scoring for three straight seasons, junior and senior captain, and winner of the MVP award in the college all-star game. The 1970 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee played with the Rochester Royals, first of the NBL and then of the NBA. During this time, he gained All-Pro recognition seven times, was a four-time NBA All-Star and was named the 1947 NBL MVP. He served as the head coach of Seton Hall’s basketball (24-3) and baseball (26-6) teams in 1946-47.
