Sacha Kljestan
- Induction:
- 2012
An integral component to the resurgence of the men's soccer program at the start of the new millennium, Sacha Kljestan left his mark at Seton Hall as one of the most prolific players in school history. He led the Pirates to three straight NCAA Tournaments from 2003–05 and a runner-up finish in the 2004 BIG EAST Championship. He was a two-time All-American, including first-team honors in 2004, and a two time first-team All-BIG EAST selection. His 15 assists in 2005 still stand as the program’s single-season record, and he ranks fifth in school history with 28 career assists. Selected fifth overall in the 2006 MLS Super Draft, Kljestan has built a successful international playing career that includes participating in the 2008 Olympics with the U.S. National team.
