Pirate Swimmers Split With Rider

The Pirate men defeated Rider by a score of 120-102. The Pirates were led by junior Mark Arzaga (Toronto, Ontario), who earned victories in the 400-yard individual medley (4:11.85), 200-yard butterfly (1:51.75), and 200-yard breaststroke (2:09.93). Junior Jarrod Armstrong (Unionville, Ontario) also contributed with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.89).
The Pirate women fell to Rider by a score of 126-117. Junior diver Amanda Kline (Green Brook, NJ) led the Pirates with victories on the one and three-meter boards with respective scores of 251.25 and 268.575. The Pirates also received contributions from freshman Jessica Socha (North Brunswick, NJ) and senior Tara Richards (Brockport, NY). Socha picked-up a a victory in the 50-yard freestyle (25.26), while Richards earned a victory in the 400-yard individual medley (4:45.47).
The Pirates will return to action on Saturday, January 15, when they take on Rutgers and St. John's for a 1 p.m. tri-meet hosted by Rutgers University
