Swimmers and Divers Swept by West Virginia

The men's squad fell to West Virginia by a score of 123-102. Senior Mark Arzaga (Toronto, Ontario) led the squad with victories in the 200-yard butterfly (1:53.96) and 200-yard individual medley (1:57.74). Sophomore Asaf Shachaf (Haifa, Israel) earned a victory in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in at 21.86. Shachaf also finished the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 47.73, earning him second place.
The women's team lost to West Virginia by a score of 138-102. Senior Amanda Kline (Green Brook, NJ) led the Pirates with a victory on the three-meter board (243) and a second-place finish on the one-meter board (265.88). Sophomore Jessica Socha (North Brunswick, NJ) chipped in with second-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (25.05) and the 100-yard freestyle (54.69).
The Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, November 1 when they host Monclair State University for a 5 pm meet.
