Wrestling Falls to Wisconsin, 31-7

Grant Hoerr, ranked 13th nationally, gave the Badgers a 3-0 lead when he opened the meet with a 1-0 decision over Seton Hall senior Mike Settembrino (Lyndhurst, NJ) at 141 pounds. The only point in the match was scored on a third-period escape by Hoerr.
P.J. Dowling followed at 149 pounds by pinning Beau Bruno in 2:31. Adam Turner then added a 4-1 decision over Leet Brady at 157 to give Wisconsin a 12-0 lead.
Wisconsin senior and Lyndhurst native Donny Pritzlaff, the defending national champion at 165, made a successful return to his high school alma mater by earning a 30-14 technical fall over Seton Hall freshman Terry Madden.
Seton Hall earned its two victories at 174 and 197. Senior Everett Bell (Wallington, NJ), ranked 15th in the nation at 174, scored an 8-0 major decision over Ryan Lewis. Fikret Darzanoff's (Clifton, NJ) win at 197 came against Joe Terrill, 5-2.
Seton Hall returns to action on Sunday, December 10 when it faces second-ranked Minnesota at Lakewood High School at 7 p.m.
