Ned Brooks Named Mid-Atlantic Region Athlete Of The Year

Brooks is coming off a victory in the 800 meters at the IC4A Championships on May 21 at Princeton. He also anchored the 4x800 relay team en route to winning the Championship of America at the Penn Relays on April 29. Brooks also enjoyed a stellar indoor season, winning the 1,000 meters at the IC4A's and the 500, 1,000 and 4x400 relay at the BIG EAST Indoor Championship, where he was named Most Outstanding Track Performer. Brooks has already qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 800 meters and was recently named Seton Hall's Male Co-Athlete of the Year.
Brooks' time of 1:47.07 in the 800 meters at the Sea Ray Relays on April 14 is the third-fastest time this season.
Graham has also been dominant for the Pirates this year, most recently taking first in both the 100 meters and 200 meters at the ECAC Championship. She won the long jump at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship on May 7 and has won the long jump nine times in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Her jump of 6.45 meters at the Clemson Relays on March 17 ranks her 13th going into the NCAA's.
Brooks will run in the semi-finals of the 800 meters on Wednesday, May 31, with the finals taking place on Friday, June 2, at 7:05 p.m. Graham will participate in the long jump preliminaries and finals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1. All events take place at Wallace Wade Stadium at Duke University.
