Simpson Resigns As Seton Hall Swimming Coach

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Rick Simpson has resigned as head men's and women's
swimming and diving coach at Seton Hall University, it was announced on
July 12 by director of athletics Jeff Fogelson.
Simpson resigned to become the head coach for the men's and women's programs at Villanova University.
Simpson recently completed his third year at Seton Hall, compiling an overall dual meet record of 16-21 with the men's squad and 16-22 with the women's team. The Pirate men's team achieved a 5-5 mark this past season, for the first-ever .500 record in the history of the program. The year was also highlighted by sophomore Peter Economou winning the BIG EAST championship in the 100 butterfly to become the Pirates' first conference champion in seven years.
Simpson, a native of Blue Bell, PA, also served as aquatics coordinator, managing the Arthur E. Imperatore Natatorium on campus.
