"Ron's positive approach to coaching and his enthusiasm for the sport will be a great asset to the program and our student-athletes," said Fulton.
Farina comes to Seton Hall after serving as the head coach/director of the Line Aquatic Club/USA Swimming, an age-group program in Phillipsburg, NJ, since April of 1999.
A 1993 graduate of Rutgers University, Farina was an assistant coach with the men's and women's programs at his alma mater for four years, including three as the full-time assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He then served as a full-time assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Virginia Tech for one season before taking over as the interim head coach from April, 1998 to July, 1998.
A native of Easton, PA, Farina was a four-year letterwinner at Rutgers. He was a former record holder in six school records and was an All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection.
Farina replaces Rick Simpson, who resigned to take the same position at Villanova University.
