Seton Hall (1-8, 1-2 ECWA) held a 12-9 advantage after junior John Garriques (Hackettstown, NJ) earned a 15-0 technical fall over Chad Grant at 184 pounds.
But Boston University (2-5, 1-2 ECWA) captured the next three matches, including two in overtime to surge past Seton Hall. Ali Abri notched a 3-1 overtime victory over Fikret Darzanoff at 197 while Ed Strauss posted a 4-2 overtime win over Carlos Panfili at heavyweight.
Leading 15-12, the Terriers secured the team victory when Jose Leon recorded a win by technical fall over Tom Becker at 125.
Seton Hall junior Dave Ilaria (Belleville, NJ) won by forfeit at 133 pounds in the final match to provide the 20-18 margin.
In addition to Settembrino's 6-3 victory over Mark Laramee at 141 pounds, junior Larry Smashey (Monroeville, NJ) posted an 8-0 major decision over Josh Sigmon at 174 pounds.
Seton Hall returns to action on Saturday, January 27 when it hosts Brown University in a 2 p.m. dual meet at Walsh Gym.
