Bell Named ECWA Wrestler of the Week

Bell is the third Seton Hall wrestler to win the award this season, joining junior Dave Ilaria (Jan. 16) and senior Mike Settembrino (Jan. 30).
As an unranked ECWA wrestler at 174 pounds, Bell recorded a pair of victories over ranked conference opponents while not allowing a point. On Feb. 3, he recorded an 8-0 major decision over Sacred Heart's Steve Forrest - the conference's fourth-ranked wrestler at 174. He followed that win with a 4-0 decision over third-ranked Bob Pizzuto of Rider on Feb. 4.
For the season, Bell raised his overall record to 13-5. Four of his five losses came against wrestlers ranked nationally in the top-20.
Bell and the Pirates return to action on Saturday, February 10 when they travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for matches against Lock Haven, Millersville and host Bucknell.
