SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Seton Hall women's tennis team lost its second straight match after falling to Syracuse, 5-2, on Friday. The setback drops the Pirates' record to 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the BIG EAST. The Hall's only two wins came in singles action against the Orange.
Sophomore Danielle Viola (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) cruised to a straight set victory over Carolina Huignard, and senior Iva Gyurgina (Radomir, Bulgaria) topped Chelsea Jones in straight sets.
Despite the Pirates changing up a few of their doubles pairing, the Orange swept Seton Hall to earn the doubles point.
Seton Hall returns to action against DePaul on Saturday, Apr. 7, in Syracuse, N.Y.
