Jeremy Hazell Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall junior Jeremy Hazell (Harlem, N.Y.) was named to the 2009-10 season's first BIG EAST Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Hazell has averaged 20.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in three Seton Hall victories to start the year. Despite a tough start to the season at Saint Peter's that saw Hazell shoot 0-for-10 from the field, he bounced back to score 26 points in a road win at Monmouth and 33 points in a victory at Cornell.
Also earning weekly honors, Syracuse's Wes Johnson was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Cincinnati's Lance Stephenson was named Rookie of the Week. Those joining Hazell on the Weekly Honor Roll include: Samardo Samuels of Louisville, Dominique Jones of USF, Luke Harangody of Notre Dame and Antonio Pena of Villanova.
Hazell and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Saturday, November 28 when they host LIU at Prudential Center. Game time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
