SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall track and field head coach John Moon has announced that Nijgia Snapp (Mays Landing, N.J.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to run for the Pirates beginning in the 2009-10 academic year.
Snapp is ranked fourth in the country in the 400-meter run, and was a state champion for the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2007-08. This season, she won the 400-meter run for Oak Crest High School at her Section Championship meet.
“Nijgia is a really good blue-chip recruit for us,” said Moon. “She was recruited by a lot of major Division I schools, and for her to choose us is very exciting. Having someone of her stature coming to Seton Hall is very special for our program.”
Seton Hall will run at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships from February 21-22 at the New York City Armory.
