FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Seton Hall’s 4x400-meter relay team of Alexandra McCoy (Goldsboro, N.C.), Toneisha Friday (Somerset, N.J.), Clarisse Moh (Paris, France), and Jernail Hayes (Newark, Del.) have been named All-Americans in their event by the USTFCCA.
The squad earned a seventh place finish in the event at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, running a time of 3:33.19. No female relay team has turned in a better performance at the outdoor national championships since 1997, when the 4x400-meter relay placed seventh.
They become the first females to earn All-American status since Kenia Sinclair achieved the feat in the 800-meter run in 2003. The last time any Pirates were named All-Americans was during the 2004 indoor season when the men’s 4x400-meter relay team earned a sixth place finish.
