
Seton Hall Tennis Powers Past St. Thomas, 9-0

MIAMI, FLA. - Under NAIA competition using a 9-point scoring system, Seton Hall continues their victory streak beating St. Thomas 9-0. This improves Hall's overall record to 4-3.
Senior Denise Liebschner (Weinboehla, Germany), progresses to her second straight win, after conquering Manuela Gils (6-1, 6-0) in the No. 1 singles. Junior Belfin Sunbul (Izmir, Turkey) stepped up in No. 2 singles in replace of Elizabeth Verow. Sunbul dominated the court, sweeping Bridget Castillo in straight sets (6-0, 6-0).
Freshman Karina Cordero (Maracay Estado Aragua, Venezuela) continues to show her skills and succeeded against Yosia Quintero. Quintero gave a hard fought match, fortunately Cordero came out on top winning 7-5, 1-6, 10-4.
Making her debut in No. 6 single, Senior Alexandra Harvey (Chatham, N.J.) defeated Natalie Ramirez 6-0, 6-0. Harvey starts out her single record 1-0 this season, shutting out Ramirez in straight sets.
The Pirates continue to dominate in doubles competition, winning all three matches. Although Kilarski/Verow were not present in singles competition they dominated in their doubles match. They overthrew their opponents Castillo/Pfeffer 8-3.
Seton Hall Women's Tennis will try to achieve their 5th straight win this Thursday March 11th when they play Nova Southeastern in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
