STORRS, Conn. - The Seton Hall tennis team lost to Connecticut, 6-1, on Friday. The Pirates fall to 5-13 overall and 2-7 in BIG EAST play.
Freshman Pui Wing Sher (Shui Wai, Hong Kong) won for the 10th time in her last 11 matches, dominating Jennifer Learmonth in straight sets to gain SHU's only point of the day.
The No. 2 doubles pair of Elizabeth Verow (Barnt Green, England) and Michelle Weerasinghe (Edina, Minn.) won a highly competitive contest in a tiebreak over Alexa Gregory and Abby McKeon, 9-8 (7).
The Pirates will play at Providence on Saturday, April 16.
