PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall sophomore Brandon Mobley (Savannah, Ga.) was named to the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
The 6-foot-9 forward helped lead Seton Hall to a victory in its only game last week, a 77-66 win over North Carolina A&T at the Prudential Center. Mobley erupted for a career-high 23 points on an efficient 7-for-10 shooting from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. He also matched a career-high with 13 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
Other weekly honors include: Louisville's Chane Behanan being named BIG EAST Player of the Week and St. John's JaKarr Sampson earning BIG EAST Rookie of the Week recognition. Joining Mobley on the Honor Roll are DePaul's Brandon Young, Rutgers' Myles Mack, St. John's D'Angelo Harrison and Syracuse's James Southerland.
Mobley and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 19 when they host Longwood at the Prudential Center. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
