
MBB Gets Defensive; Wins 70-61

CANARY ISLANDS - The Seton Hall men's basketball team resumed its European exhibition tour on Saturday and defeated CB Gran Canaria U20 in a defensive battle, 70-61, to improve to a perfect 3-0 overseas.
Junior Fuquan Edwin (Paterson, N.J.) spearheaded a strong defensive team effort that resulted in 13 steals. Edwin led the Pirates with 13 points to go with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals in a well-balanced performance.
Sophomore Aaron Cosby (Louisville, Ky.) again ran the point for Seton Hall and finished with nine points and a team-high six assists. Freddie Wilson (New Haven, Conn.) also saw his share of time at point guard and added seven points and three assists.
Forward Patrik Auda (Brno, Czech Republic) scored in double figures for a third straight game in Europe. The 6-foot-9 junior tallied 10 points to go with six rebounds.
Gene Teague (Vineland, N.J.) pulled down nine rebounds and led the Pirates in boards for a second straight game.
Seton Hall will return to action in the Canary Islands for their fourth of five exhibition games while overseas on Monday at 4:00 pm. The Pirates will face Gran Canaria Select.
