
Smyth Keys MBB Rout of Gran Canaria

CANARY ISLANDS - Transfer Kyle Smyth (River Edge, N.J.) scored a team-high 16 points as the Seton Hall men's basketball team routed Gran Canaria Select, 84-52, on Monday in its fourth exhibition game while touring Spain and the Canary Islands.
With the victory, Seton Hall improves to a perfect 4-0 on this exhibition tour.
In all, four Pirates scored in double-figures. Junior Fuquan Edwin (Paterson, N.J.) added 14 points, sophomore Brandon Mobley (Savannah, Ga.) chipped in 11 points and Gene Teague (Vineland, N.J.) narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
Sophomore Kevin Johnson (Compton, Calif.) saw his most action of the exhibition tour. The 6-foot-9 center played 20 minutes and scored six points to go with six rebounds.
Sophomore Aaron Cosby (Louisville, Ky.) again ran the point for Seton Hall and dished out a team-high seven assists to go with five points. His backup, Freddie Wilson (New Haven, Conn.), chipped in six points and four assists. For the four-game trip, Cosby and Wilson have combined for 39 assists.
