SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall announced on Tuesday the 2012-13 men's basketball game times and television broadcast assignments. Overall, at least 22 of the Pirates' 31 regular season games will be televised with 10 games on national television.
Both of the Pirates' games in the 2012 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off at the Mohegan Sun Arena, Nov. 17-18, will broadcast on ESPN3. Seton Hall's SEC/BIG EAST Challenge matchup with LSU on Nov. 29, will be carried by ESPNU. Seton Hall's eight non-televised home games, UMKC (11/9), Norfolk State (Nov. 12), Maine (11/21), Saint Peter's (11/25), NJIT (12/4), North Carolina A&T (12/15), Longwood (12/19) and Stony Brook (12/28), will be streamed live via the Pirates Sports Network at www.SHUpirates.com.
The Pirates' game at Wake Forest on Dec. 8 has recently been picked up by ESPN3.
Additional Seton Hall non-conference contests may be televised, but have not yet been finalized.
All 18 of the Pirates' BIG EAST match-ups will be televised either nationally or regionally this season. National broadcasts include games with Louisville on Jan. 9 and Rutgers on Feb. 12, which will be seen on ESPN2. Games with USF on Jan. 23, Cincinnati on Feb. 2, Pittsburgh on Feb. 4 and Villanova on Feb. 25 will be carried by ESPNU.
The remaining 12 conference games will be BIG EAST Network telecasts with eight being aired on SNY, three being shown on MSG and one on MSG+.
Seton Hall contests at Notre Dame on Jan. 5 and at Louisville on Feb. 23 have been designated as the BIG EAST Network Game of the Week and will have a significantly wider distribution.
