Seton Hall Athletics and the University's Division of Volunteer Efforts (D.O.V.E.) have teamed up to raise money for the organization's "Releasing the DOVEs" volunteer trips to El Salvador and Haiti. Fans will be invited to "Pay What You Want" for tickets to the Seton Hall versus NJIT men's basketball game on Tuesday, December 10. All proceeds from this promotion will help to finance special projects performed on these upcoming mission trips.
At a dedicated walk-up window, fans will be able to name their own price for select tickets for Tuesday's intra-city matchup between the Pirates and Highlanders. Face value of the tickets is $45 (Sections 6, 10, 17 or 21) and fans can pay what they want, in dollar increments, starting at $1. The offer is only applicable on the day of the game at the Prudential Center Box Office starting at 6:00 p.m. or at the Seton Hall Box Office from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
100% of the funds raised will go directly to D.O.V.E.
Since 2004, D.O.V.E. has been organizing volunteer trips as part of "Releasing the DOVEs," providing aid to communities in need in both El Salvador and Haiti. For a week at a time, current Seton Hall students truly live and work for others. In the past, generous donations have facilitated efforts to supply hot meals for nursing home residents, fund repairs to local orphanages and schools, as well as delivering necessities such as clothing and hygiene items and school and art supplies for local students.
Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. For questions, please contact the Seton Hall Athletic Ticket Office at (973) 275-HALL (4255) or via e-mail at tickets@shu.edu.
