Coaches vs. Cancer a Success
2/21/2013 12:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball
Whether cheering for Seton Hall or Syracuse, fans of both Men's Basketball teams rallied during the third media timeout of the first half on Saturday, February 16th. A total of $4,000 was donated to the American Cancer Society in the inaugural Coaches vs. Cancer Timeout Challenge.
With 60 volunteers spread throughout the sold out arena, including the cheer and dance teams, collection buckets were distributed to every row. Donations were abundant and collected only during the media timeout! It is estimated that in 2013 every hour 187 people will hear the words "you have cancer." Thank you for all those who supported the Coaches vs. Cancer Timeout Challenge.
