Edwin Nets Honorable Mention

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall junior Fuquan Edwin (Paterson, N.J.) was named a 2013 All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention today by the conference office.
Last year's national steals leader, Edwin saw a significant improvement to his offensive game in 2012-13. Twice named to the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll, he led the Pirates in scoring with 16.6 points per game and ranked seventh in the conference. His .421 three-pointer shooting percentage was fourth-best in the BIG EAST and the fourth highest single-season percentage in Seton Hall history. Named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 8, Edwin placed second in the conference with 2.45 steals per game, and reached the 200 steals plateau for his career, a feat only three other Pirates have accomplished. Earlier this season, he became the 40th player in Seton Hall history to record 1,000 career points and only the 23rd player to do so in less than three full seasons. Edwin's crowning in-game moment came on Feb. 25 when his game-winning three-pointer helped upset Villanova.
