WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Seton Hall junior Fuquan Edwin (Paterson, N.J.) was named to the 2012-13 All-Met Division I First Team by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association on Monday. A starter in all 33 games last season, Edwin led the Pirates with a 16.5 points per game average, which ranked eighth in the BIG EAST Conference. An All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention, he became the 40th player in Seton Hall men’s basketball history to record 1,000 career points and only the 23rd player to do so in less than three full seasons. Named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 8, he finished second in the conference in steals per game, fifth in three-point shooting percentage and 17th in rebounds per game. On Feb. 25, Edwin connected on a three-pointer with less than nine seconds remaining to lift Seton Hall to a 66-65 upset victory over Villanova, snapping a 10-game losing streak to the Wildcats.
