NEW YORK- Next week, the Seton Hall women's tennis team will join the sport's biggest stars in descending upon New York City as the Pirates will be volunteering as part of the American Express Fan Experience at the U.S. Open.
The Open returns to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens on Monday, August 31 and will run over the next two weeks. The Seton Hall tennis program will be offering their services on Sunday, September 6 and Monday, September 7 (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.) in an effort to enhance the fan experience and connect with the local community.
"This is a great initiative for us because it is rewarding on so many levels," said head coach Greg Wyzykowski. "Early in the year, it gives us a chance to come together as a team but we also get the chance to interact with a lively group of fans and experience the game at its highest level. We're looking forward to being a part of the event and hope to see many fellow Seton Hall Pirates while we're out there."
The American Express Fan Experience will be located inside the East Gate, and is set to feature more than 20,000 square feet of interactive programming. For more information on all that will be available, click HERE
