No. 15 Pirates Achieve Highest Ranking Since 2001

NEW YORK - The red-hot Seton Hall men's basketball team, winners of four straight and eight of nine to start the season, have been placed at No. 15 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches top 25 polls. This is Seton Hall's highest national ranking since also achieving No. 15 back in January 2001.
The Pirates have previously been ranked No. 15 in the Associated Press poll four times, January 9, 2001, February 21, 1989 and December 20, 1988. As the No. 15 team in the country, the Pirates have gone 4-3.
This is the 105th week all-time that Seton Hall has been ranked by the AP, and of those 105, 76 have now come as a top-15 team.
Seton Hall's all-time record when ranked by the AP is 149-48 (.756).
The No. 15 Pirates have a pair of challenging games against New Jersey rivals this week. They host Saint Peter's at Walsh Gym Tuesday at 7 p.m., and then travel to Rutgers for the Garden State Hardwood Classic Saturday at noon.
