NEW YORK - The Seton Hall men's basketball team has earned a national ranking for the seventh time in 2017-18. This week, the Pirates are No. 23 in the Associated Press poll and No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
In addition, senior center Angel Delgado (Bajos De Haina, Dominican Republic) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 12.5 points and 16.0 rebounds in Seton Hall's 1-1 week. Delgado posted his NCAA-leading 57th career double-double last Tuesday against Saint Peter's with 18 points and 11 boards. Then he grabbed a season-high 21 rebounds, one off his career high, at Rutgers last Saturday, the most anyone has ever recorded in a Seton Hall-Rutgers matchup.
The 9-2 Pirates are ranked No. 23 in the AP for the second time this season; they were also No. 23 in this year's preseason poll. They will host Wagner Wednesday at Prudential Center at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday noon matchup against Manhattan at The Rock. Tickets for both games are available at Ticketmaster.com.
Fans can also receive FREE admission into Wednesday's Wagner game by bringing an unwrapped toy with a value of $10 or more to the Prudential Center box office.
