
Seton Hall Announces Eight Administrator Promotions

South Orange, N.J. - Seton Hall University Vice President and Director of Athletics & Recreation Patrick Lyons has announced the promotion of eight department administrators across eight different areas that combine to work tirelessly to support Seton Hall student-athletes. The eight administrators are Christopher Carl, Thomas Chen, Brian Connor, Cameron Harty, Jay Judge, Alex Keddie, Loren Peterson and Roberto Sasso.
"In order to have a great athletics department, you need great people, and I feel strongly about rewarding the efforts of great people who do outstanding work behind the scenes in supporting our student-athletes, our mission and our vision for excellence, Lyons said. "I feel that we have one of the best athletics department staffs in the country, and I am proud that we are able to promote these eight outstanding administrators, which will only further strengthen our department. Congratulations to each of them on this achievement."

Christopher Carl - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Marketing
Thomas Chen - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Digital Media & Communications

Roberto Sasso - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development

Christopher Carl - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Marketing
- Hired as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing & Promotions in June 2015 after previously serving as Assistant Director of Facilities & Operations for two years.
- Oversees marketing initiatives for all 14 varsity programs, oversees gameday marketing and promotions operations at home events and serves as a liaison to corporate partnerships and assists in the development and activation of such partnerships.
- Previously worked as an assistant clubhouse manager for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Seton Hall University.
Thomas Chen - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Digital Media & Communications
- Hired as Assistant Athletics Director for Digital Media & Communications in December 2014.
- Oversees all aspects of communications within the department, including media relations, publications, television and radio, website, video content creation and social media.
- Previously worked in communications roles at Stony Brook University and Northeastern University and holds a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University.
Brian Connor - Promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Equipment Operations
- Hired as the Equipment Manager in October 2016 after serving as Assistant Director of Facilities & Operations since February 2014.
- Oversees all of the department's equipment needs, including the purchasing and distribution of Under Armour gear for all 14 varsity programs.
- Previously worked at Ticket Evolution and holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Seton Hall University.
Cameron Harty - Promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities & Operations
- Hired as the Facilities & Operations Assistant in August 2015.
- Responsible for managing Seton Hall's athletic facilities, overseeing event operations, coordinating travel and practice times with visiting teams and planning and coordinating all outside events.
- Holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Misericordia University.
Jay Judge - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Development
- Hired as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development in August 2012.
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund, which includes raising funds to benefit student-athletes and enhance their experience and hosting events for Pirate Blue members.
- Previously worked in a variety of roles at Iona College, where he also earned his bachelor's and master's degrees.
Alex Keddie - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Compliance
- Hired as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance in November 2015.
- Oversees all athletics department compliance efforts, including creating policies and procedures to ensure institutional control and rules education for all members of the department.
- Previously worked in compliance at East Carolina, where she also earned two master's degrees. Earned her bachelor's degree at Saint Peter's University.
Loren Peterson - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Business Affairs
- Has worked at Seton Hall over two stints, from 1989-96 and 2004-present, most recently as Assistant Athletics Director for Business Affairs, a position she was promoted to in September 2010.
- Oversees day-to-day financial transactions, manages the athletics department budget and serves as the liaison for the athletics department to the University's human resources and payroll offices.
- Holds a bachelor's degree from Adelphi University.
Roberto Sasso - Promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development
- Hired as the Assistant Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development in February 2013.
- Oversees the H.A.L.L. Program, designed to develop student-athletes into leaders within the Seton Hall community while enhancing the quality of the student-athlete experience as a whole, initiates student-athlete outreach initiatives, implements life skills workshops and advises the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
- Previously worked as an Administrative Fellow at the BIG EAST Conference and holds a bachelor's degree from Florida International University and a master's degree from the University of Central Florida.
