
Dec. 15 Garden State Hardwood Classic is SOLD OUT

South Orange, N.J. -Â The Dec. 15 Garden State Hardwood Classic tilt between the Seton Hall men's basketball team and Rutgers has sold out more than two weeks before the event, the Seton Hall Department of Athletics announced Wednesday.

The Rutgers sell-out does not include student tickets, which will be available for purchase through the S.H.I.P.S. app and SHUStudentTix.com beginning Monday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. There is a limit of two tickets per student.

If any general public tickets become available day of game, they will be made available for purchase at the Prudential Center box office beginning at 10 a.m.

Seton Hall and Rutgers annually renew their rivalry in the Garden State Hardwood Classic with the 33-pound classic trophy in the shape of the state of New Jersey up for grabs. The Pirates won the first three installments of the newly formed classic, including in 2016 in front of a sold-out Prudential Center audience. The Scarlet Knights captured the trophy in 2017 with a second-half comeback. The series, which was initially contracted for eight years through 2022, was extended by the two schools in May to now go through 2026.

Seton Hall, which is 4-2 and coming off winning the 2018 Wooden Legacy championship, will host Louisville Saturday at Prudential Center at noon. Tickets to the Louisville game at are still available through Ticketmaster at SHUPirates.com/SHUvsUL. Saturday is Kids Day, and $10 kids tickets are available through FEVO.
