Simpson Powers Pirates in Historic BIG EAST Championship

Geneva, Ohio – Senior Sydney Simpson (Tallahassee, Fla.) won one gold, two silvers, broke three individual school-records and one relay record as the Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team had its best point total at the BIG EAST Championship in program history. The Pirates finished in third place for the second consecutive year.
Simpson took home gold in the 100 fly (54.23), and freshman Taylor Jackson (Thornton, Colo.) won the 3-meter dive (346), while 10 different school-records were set with contributions from 10 different Pirates.
Sophomore Sara Ouellette (Granby, Conn.) earned a silver in the 200 back with a school-record time of 2:00.07, and earlier in the week broke the school-record in the 500 free (4:53.83).
Head coach Derek Sapp was named BIG EAST Co-Women's Coach of the Year.
