South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's tennis team dropped a tightly-contested 4-1 BIG EAST match to Marquette on a beautiful Friday afternoon at the Ivy Hill Park Tennis Courts.
Sophomores Melody Taal (Ede, Netherlands) and Michal Matson (St. Albans) paired for an impressive victory at No. 3 doubles, but the Pirates could not keep pace early on as the Golden Eagles won the doubles point.
During singles play, senior Luize Strike (Riga, Latvia), junior Anicka Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia) and senior Katie Kim (Honolulu, Hawaii) played Marquette point-for-point down to the wire, but wound up on the wrong end.
