Two-way contracts are a fairly new option in the NBA. Per the rules of the contract, Delgado will spend the bulk of the 2018-19 season with the Clippers' G League team, Agua Caliente Clippers, which is located in Ontario, Calif., and only 44 miles from the Staples Center. Delgado can spend up to 45 days on the NBA Clippers roster.Â

Delgado graduated Seton Hall as one of the most dominant big men in recent NCAA history. He finished his career as NCAA Div. I's active leader in career rebounds (1,455) and double-doubles (72). He is tied for 16th all-time in NCAA history in double-doubles, and since the creation of NCAA Div. I, II and III in 1973, Delgado has the seventh-most career rebounds of any Div. I student-athlete, fourth-most of anyone playing in a power-six basketball conference.

In BIG EAST lore, Delgado broke the conference's career rebounds record on Jan. 28, 2018, a record that stood for 28 years and was previously held by Syracuse's Derrick Coleman, and finished his 72-game league career with 828 rebounds. He also holds the BIG EAST single-season rebounds record, grabbing 253 during his junior season, and he's the only BIG EAST student-athlete to ever grab 20 or more rebounds in back-to-back conference games, a feat he accomplished in January 2017.
In Seton Hall history, Delgado, who helped the Pirates to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments, a second-round appearance in 2018 and the BIG EAST Tournament championship in 2016, is first all-time in games played (132) and games started (131), second in rebounds, behind only 1950s legend Walter Dukes, 16th in points scored (1,593), 10th in field goals made (644), third in field goal percentage (.538) and 15th in blocks (101).
Delgado was a two-time Associated Press All-America honorable mention, two-time All-BIG EAST selection, three-time All-Met Writers selection, the 2015 BIG EAST Rookie of the Year, the 2017 Haggerty Award Met Writers Player of the Year and the 2018 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award winner as the National Center of the Year.
Delgado is currently competing for the Clippers' NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
